1. Who we are

This service is operated by DEAcon LTD, a company registered in Bulgaria at 4 Vitosha Blvd, 1st floor, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria (Commercial Register ID: 207625679; VAT: BG207625679).

2. Data we collect

For advisors: full name, contact details, professional experience, skill matrix, references, day rate, availability, LinkedIn profile, uploaded CV, government-issued identity confirmation (for verification only, not stored long-term), payment information (via Stripe).

For recruiters: company name, contact details, job function, payment information (via Stripe), search activity, saved profiles, access logs.

Automatically collected: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, session duration. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use your data

• To verify advisor identity, references, and project history before profile activation
• To enable authenticated recruiters to search and contact advisors
• To process subscription payments through Stripe
• To send transactional emails (account confirmations, invoices, reference requests)
• To protect the platform against abuse or policy violations
• To comply with our legal obligations (tax records, invoicing, GDPR erasure requests)

4. Legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

• Contract: processing is necessary to deliver the subscription service
• Legitimate interest: platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
• Legal obligation: accounting records, tax compliance, and data subject requests
• Consent: where consent is specifically requested (e.g. optional marketing)

5. Where your data is stored

All data is stored and processed within the European Union. Our infrastructure is hosted in Germany. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (Dublin, Ireland). Email delivery is handled through EU-based providers. No data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.

6. How long we keep it

• Active advisor profiles: for as long as your subscription is active, plus 30 days after cancellation
• Verification records: kept for 3 years for compliance purposes
• Invoices and payment records: 10 years (Bulgarian tax law requirement)
• Access logs: 12 months
• Deleted profiles: fully erased within 30 days of request, except records we are legally required to retain

7. Who can see your data

Advisor profiles are visible to subscribed, authenticated recruiters only. Booked advisors are hidden from search.

Verification evidence (identity documents, reference calls) is only seen by the Kennerkreis verification team.

We never sell or rent data. We never share data with advertisers or marketing platforms.

8. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectify — correct inaccurate data
• Erase — request full deletion ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict processing — pause how we use your data
• Port — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — to processing based on legitimate interests
• Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies that profile you across the web.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify all registered users by email at least 30 days in advance. Minor clarifications may be published without individual notice but will always show an updated date at the top of this page.
